Each year, the Chamber proudly presents the Spirit of Our Community Awards — celebrating the people and organizations whose passion and dedication make our community shine. These awards honor the leaders, visionaries, and everyday heroes who inspire us all. Our Spirit Award winners will be showcased in the 51st Cashiers Christmas Peppermint Stick Parade on December 6 at 3:00 p.m.

2025 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR | SERENITY RICHARDS, Librarian, Albert Carlton - Cashiers Community Library
Presented to an individual who has significantly and positively impacted the Cashiers area community through vision, innovation, and leadership.
2025 BUSINESSPERSON OF THE YEAR | MICHAEL GEISLER, ACE Handyman Services
Presented to a business representative who has leveraged commercial resources to support community initiatives in an extraordinary manner.
2025 EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR | ANDREA CHALKER, Principal, Summit Charter School
Presented to a teacher or administrator who has uniquely promoted character development and motivation as a foundation for future success.
2025 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR | JEFF STEWART, Chief, Glenville-Cashiers Rescue Squad
Presented to an individual who has generously given of their personal time, talent and/or financial support to improve the lives of those in our community.
2025 ARTS & CULTURE ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR | BETTY MORRIS, Community Chorus & Community Youth Chorus
Presented to an individual, business, or other organization whose work promotes artistic enhancement or cultural awareness.
2025 EVERGREEN AWARD | KYLE PURSEL, Stewardship Director, Lonesome Valley
