Leadership Cashiers, a community engagement initiative of the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce, announced plans for its sixth class in 2024, continuing a program designed to build connections, deepen understanding of local issues and encourage community leadership throughout the Cashiers area.

Class VI was scheduled to begin with a two-day Opening Retreat in May at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley, followed by monthly sessions from June through December.

The 2024 application deadline was March 29.

Connecting and Engaging Community Leaders

Leadership Cashiers was created by the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce to inform, connect and engage individuals through the study of civic issues, the development of strong working relationships and the encouragement of enlightened, dynamic community leadership.

Participants gain a deeper understanding of the people, organizations, businesses and issues shaping the Cashiers area while building relationships with fellow class members and community leaders.

The program is guided by an Advisory Task Force to the Cashiers Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and facilitated by a contracted program director. Leadership Cashiers is funded through participant tuition and community sponsorships.
