Fly Fishing 101 – Special Intro Class | $15 Per Person Limited small-group dates available Curious about fly fishing but not sure where to start? Our Fly Fishing 101 class is the perfect introduction to the sport. Offered on select dates at a special rate, this small-group session provides a relaxed and welcoming environment to learn the basics of fly fishing. During this hands-on class, our instructors will introduce you to the essential equipment needed to get started, including rods, reels, and tackle. You’ll also receive casting instruction and learn how to properly handle the rod to play and land trout, along with simple rigging techniques that will help prepare you for time on the water. As with all Headwaters Outfitters programs, we also share the importance of protecting coldwater fisheries and the rivers that support them. After the class, you’ll be ready to continue your fly fishing journey—whether by booking a guided trip with one of our Headwaters Outfitters guides or joining us for a full-day School of Trout experience to get on the water and put your new skills to work.
